when treadmills attack

beanie: Target sweater: Target tank: Target jeans: F21 scarf: Dollar Tree boots:

Yesterday, after my work out class, I decided that I was going to push myself and go to the gym afterwards. That was my first mistake. I ran to my room, grabbed my ipod and headphones and made my way to the little gym that holds about two elipticals, one bike, a leg machine, a couple of arm machines, and two treadmills.

I started off the same way I always do: running (maybe to some a fast jog) on the treadmill. Now, the school doesn't have the best equiptment in our gym and so when you run on the treadmills you sound like a five-hundred-pound elephant everytime your foot hits the belt. It makes you feel great about your weight. The trick I've learned is when you run towards the back, it makes much less noise.

As I was minding my own business, two of my friends came through the door. I wanted to know why they were there so we started talking. Disclaimer: This is not advised while running.

Not a minute went by when I felt the edge of the treadmill on my feet. I knew immediately I was in huge trouble. I tried to jump off the back as I was falling and tried to catch myself with my hands on the still running belt. If you're thinking to yourself, "Well that wouldn't work." Trust me, I know. I just found out the hard way. I continued to try to catch myself which somehow ended up as me doing a three-sixty and landing on the ground in between the two treadmills with my friends histerically laughing.

Moral of the story: watch out for those treadmills man. They can be nasty, and I have the bruises to prove it.
To further humiliate myself, if you would like a replica of what I looked like: here ya go

Love your entire Target outfit! I didn't see that sweater at my Target, but if I had, you can be sure I would have snatched it up : ) Oh gosh, so sorry about embarrassing moments at the gym. I usually stick to the pool and to those ginormous classes where I can chill in the back or to the side and no one will see me in my awkward yoga pose. I steer clear of treadmills ; )

I've definitely tried to run backwards on a treadmill before [don't ask why cause I don't know] and flew face first into the wall at the gym. I was bleeding, laughing, crying... mortified.

Needless to say, I quit that gym and went to a different one.
