While "It's Raining Men" has been on repeat in my head all weekend from the viewing og Magic Mike, I almost forgot to post about this. See that dreamy men with 8 packs will do to you? It's a crime really. Anyways, that little piece of paper? I worked my bum off for that. I was sort of a super nerd in high school. Graduating with 30 college credits put me at a head start for college. When I found out I was going to go away for school, my goal was to get my AA in one year when it usualy takes two. Yeah, I know, super-nerd. When I get my mind set on something, there isn't much that can stop me. To get this degree, I would have to take 33 credits in one year. Not thinking when I signed up for my first semester, I took only 13. I could have kicked myself when I realized what all I would have to do my second semester. You may remember here and here where I talked about cheating the system by taking a CLEP test. I passed and this put me over the edge. I now reached the amount of credits needed to apply for my degree. I did it! I was going to get my AA and accomplish everything I set out to do. Not that the little piece of paper in my hands will increase my pay, make my certified to do anything important, or save the world. It's more just a reminder that I CAN do anything I set my mind to.
