back in action

I am not even sure if some of you noticed (mostly because I forgot to let you know here!) but on my instagram I announced I was taking a little bit of a blog break. As I sat down last Sunday to write a post, I probably stared at the computer screen for 20 minutes trying to think of something to say. My life is pretty busy right now to say the least. There's school (which takes up most of my time), job, boyfriend, and friends who have the majority of my time. When I sat down to write a post, I honestly had nothing to say. Nothing exciting, ground-breaking, or anything I would want to write down to share with you all or remember. I felt like coming here was more of a chore than a passion.

It's the first time I ever felt obligated to write.

When I realized this, I knew I was just in over my head. I needed a break from this place to gather my thoughts and be inspired by life around me. I don't want to come here to try to "think of something to say." Rather, I would like to come here to have something to say with a purpose. Nature, design, people, human interaction; that is what inspires me the most. This past week has been amazing. Taking the extra time to spend with face to face human beings instead of a computer felt like freedom.

But, I did miss it. And while a week went by so fast, I felt like something was missing. I didn't plan outfits or posts or tutorials, I just lived. And while there is nothing wrong with that, Blank Pages is something I created, and something I don't want to give up on just yet.
