Since nursing school has started, I have definitely noticed an increase in my appetite, and not in a good way. Craving soda, wanting chocolate or anything sweet or with caffeine, I feel like I am in high school again! Except this time I am no longer a growing teenager, and putting on the pounds seems to be getting easier. Seriously, the soda and vending machines right outside our classroom do not help. All I can think about half way through the day is how much a soda will perk me up, or just one little pack of m&m's won't hurt, especially if my friends share it with me, right? Ugh excuses, excuses. Working out? What is that again? Getting the energy to get in the car to drive to the gym is exhausting just thinking about it. Rough life, huh?
So, what are your secrets to those mid day cravings? Do you sit at your desk wanting that snicker's bar down the hall? Or do you indulge yourself because you know you'll work out later? Or do you all around eat healthy (I admire and hate you people all at the same time). Let me know how you people keep your rockin bods!
On a side note, I think the vintage couch sitting in my grandparents garage stole the show during this outfit shoot. Can't always be the star of the show I guess. It's okay couch, you are pretty cute.

Omg! I can somewhat relate. The office I worked for in my previous job was located inside the mall. And get this, it was located on the third floor right next to the food court! And a times when the hours seemed longer than usual I found myself walking around the food court and coming back with a snack or two. oh temptations. It's really hard to fight off the cravings for soda, chocolates, burgers but with a lot of events to go to, I just didn't want people commenting on how much weight I had put on, thus I was motivated more than ever to trade in my chocolates and burgers for apples and all things healthy. hehehe. =)
I have a apple with peanut butter ( I get bees knees with honey its the best , they also have dark chocolate version that's awesome!) Pistachio are really good to carry with you or almonds! There are protein bars out there that taste like candy bars!!! Kind bars are another favorite of mine if you want to go a more natural way!! And all those snacks will give you more energy than sugar in candy and will last longer! I'm pregnant and these help me stay on track!!
lovely spot to take some photos and gorgeous result!

First, I love that dress!!!
Second, cravings absolutely kill me! I really try and ask myself "Are you seriously hungry or just bored? Because either way, drink 2 glasses of water. If you're really hungry, the water will fill you up a bit so you don't eat as much - and if you aren't actually hungry you won't be craving bad things anymore!"
Some days that works, sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't, I just make myself workout even harder.
