Even though in Florida it doesn't feel like fall, the fall clothes are flooding in the store, making me want to spend all my money. But before I do (and hopefully it doesn't make that much of a dent), I want to get as much use out of my spring/summer clothes as I can. Here are some tips that can help you stretch those previous season pieces.

Wear those favorite spring colors and patterns and pair them with some fall items. Chunky sweaters and scarfs can help any pieces feel more fall. 

Just because it's no longer the hot seasons doesn't mean florals can't be worn. Pair them with darker, more neutral colors such as burgundy and burnt orange.

Layer, layer, layer. A tank can't be worn by itself, but it can be worn under other items to add another layer without weighing you down.

Hopefully I just saved you some change when heading to those stores to buy some warmer clothing. But I know, I know, sometimes you just can't resist.

Also, I just wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for my grandpa and my family. God does answer prayers because he gets to come home today! So thankful for every person who was a prayer warrior during this time, I don't know think you know how much I appreciate it, and you.

Yesterday, the weather was gorgeous. I stepped outside and instead of feeling the muggy humidness of Florida weather, it was cool. The sun was behind the clouds and the breeze was blowing. Sweat didn't instantly drip down from my face and back. Oh, it was pretty much perfection. If seeing fall styles appearing on all the blogs didn't get me into the season, this new found weather most certainly will. So please, weather, keep it up. I think we've got a good thing going ;)

Hi Blank Page readers!  Amy was so sweet & has given me the opportunity to stop by + say hi to introduce myself!  Thanks for bearing with me, I appreciate it :) 

So I guess I better start off by saying I'm Christina:

and I blog over at My Life, Laughs, & Love - a blog about my life, things that make me laugh, and the love of my life (betcha wouldn't have guessed that one...)  I also share my weight loss journeys/struggles and the occasional embarrassing confessional post, and anything/everything in between.  

I'm not really an "outstanding" person, but am rather a pretty average Jane (which is completely okay by me!)  I love my fiance, family, friends, (and football), and am completely obsessed with my job.  What do I do, you ask?

I teach.

High schoolers.

Geometry.

And I'm 5'2".

I'm sure some of you are rolling your eyes thinking "ugh, why?!" while others are rolling your eyes thinking the job is a piece of cake, but I don't teach your average run-of-the-mill kids.  Mine are truly special.  I've met young men & women from all walks of life who don't let any obstacle come in there way.  Whether it's a not-so-good home life, a disability, or a dispassion for Math, the fact that they show up each & everyday to give it there all is what brings me back to work.  Can you remember how tough high school can be?!  

My dream is to inspire at least 1 of them in the way that each of them do for me (and I hope I'm already off to a good start - my past kids greet me with huge smiles & big hugs... I'd consider that a success!) and I can't imagine doing anything else.  

My life isn't always perfect, but I'm happy it's mine & I'm glad to live it.  I hope you come on over to say hi + share my experiences with me!  Be nice though, I don't take harsh criticism well ;)  Thanks again & again, Amy!

I know this is more pictures than I usually post in an outfit post, but guess what everyone, FALL IS HERE! I started to get the itch when Starbucks got their Pumpkin Spice lattes in and when other style bloggers began wearing their many layers and scarves. But alas, it is finally here. Even though in Florida, it won't be appropriate to wear those thing until December, I refuse to let my favorite season go to waste. So bring on the boots, layers, and chunky sweaters!

It's Monday, the start of a new week. As I sit here with my coffee and bagel, I am already dreaming about Friday. The weekend is already calling! What are you most excited about this season?
