it was one of those mornings

So this is a story about my very interesting/awkward/looking back at it, funny morning. I had a very normal morning until my eight o'clock class was done. At nine thirty, I was supposed to meet up with a few girls that I hardly knew to take an online exam together. My eight o'clock class ended at nine fifteen. This gave me fifteen minutes to catch a bus, run back to my dorm, and make it to another dorm by nine thirty. Are you following so far? By the time I caught the bus it was already nine thirty. I'm thinking to myself, great I'm already late. To make matters a little worse, I caught the bus with the bus driver that goes twenty in a thirty miles per hour road. As soon as I got off, I power-walked back to my dorm to grab my books. As I went to grab my twenty-pound textbook, I received the biggest papercut on my middle finger. I don't think it should have been classified as a paper cut from the way it was bleeding. So let's recap so far shall we? I am already late to meet a few girls I hardly know to take an exam, and I have somehow managed to slice my finger on my textbook. Moving on. I slapped a band-aid on it, put my book in my bag, grabbed something to drink and headed out the door. Again, I power-walked to the other dorm where the girls had now been waiting for me for fifteen minutes. From all this power-walking and slicing my finger, I decided I was thirsty. Good thing I had a drink right? Wrong. As I went to untwist the top of my carbonated flavored water drink, it EXPLODED all over me. I wanted to stop right there, sit on the ground and cry. There was nothing worse that could happen to me at that moment. Need another recap? Lets. I am super late, sliced my finger, and had a drink explode all over me. Awesome morning so far. As I made it to the other dorm, I knew I was supposed to find the "study rooms."  I have never used these fancy rooms, nor do I know where they are located in the building. I proceeded to go to the third floor, down to the second floor, up to the fourth floor, and by process of elimination, found out that those "study rooms" are located on the fifth floor. As I walk in the room thirty minutes late, covered in carbonated water, sliced finger, and tired legs, I managed to say, "Sorry I'm so late, I'm a hot mess right now." That was definitely not a lie. *Disclaimer, if there are any men reading this, stop right now; this is meant for a woman's eyes only. We proceeded to start our timed exam. Just as we were about half way through this ninety minute horribley hard timed test, aunt flow decided to arrive. Doesn't she always show up at the best moments? There was absolutely nothing I could do; I had no idea where the bathroom was, and I could not afford to lose any time in the test. All I could do was pray that I still had a wearable pair of jeans when I got up. At this point, I know my morning cannot get any worse. Thankfully, when it was all over with, I still had a pair of jeans and managed to receive an A on my exam. But when I said it was one of those mornings, it was truely one of those mornings.
Ever had one of these? I would be delighted to hear.
