friday favorites; sarasota

Please excuse my untimely lateness with this post, I was soaking up some sun rays all day at the beach. I just made you jealous, didn't I?
Anyways.
Every so often I am going to use my weekly friday favorites post to share with you the greatness of one of the best cities on the planet, my hometown, Sarasota, Florida. Join me, won't you?

This week I am going to be talking about Le Macaron, the cutest little french pastry cafe in town. In this place is housed the most delicious little desserts ever: macaroons. Have you ever had one? I was just introduced to these little beauties this week, and man was I missing out before. I had always heard of them, but never thought that a small round pastry could replace a classic piece of chocolate cake or a waffle cone ice cream. I am here to tell you that it can. A brittle shell on the outside and a smooth and flavorful center on the inside. From flavors like rasberry to basil white chocolate, there is something for everyone. They make you feel that you should be under the eiffel tower wearing a beret. So French sounding right? If you want to know what's good for you, you will march yourself to the nearest place that carries these pieces of heaven, no matter how far away is. There you will eat, relax, and imagine you are on the streets of Paris. It will be the most therapeutic break you will take this week.
Go find those macaroons I tell you!

I cannot wait to show you what else this little town has to offer. But I would love to hear what your favorite places to visit, eat, and entertain are in your hometown! Let me know in the comments below.
