Around my parts, Easter has always been something that has been celebrated. Some parents don't believe in doing all of the Easter festivities such as the easter bunny, easter egg hunts, dying eggs, and easter parties, but I am so glad that my parents always let me participate in everything that came along with every holiday. They made sure I always knew the difference between the real reason for the seasons, I just never missed out on anything that any of the kids were doing.
So to bring back the kid in me, Jared and I decided to dye eggs for easter. We hadn't done it in years and he was a little reluctant, but it was a TON of fun.
We wrote little messages to each other (favorite: the "your my sunshine" that Jared made me), made cool designs, and just felt like we had pushed rewind for about ten years. There's nothing you can really do with them after except look at the marvelous pieces of art you just created, but making it is all the fun. As Easter day came around, it was spent with family filled-church going-stuffing our faces time. I wouldn't want Easter to go any other way.
Oh and that little photo shoot at the end? Those are my parents, and it took us about fifteen minutes to get about three serious good-looking pictures of each other. We never do anything without someone coming close to peeing their pants from laughing so much.
I hope your Easter weekend was filled with laughs and love like mine was.
What did you do to celebrate?

I have NEVER dyed Easter eggs. I feel like I'm seriously missing out!! Maybe I'll have to convince my husband to do it next year. Glad you had such a great holiday weekend girlie!
