My grandparents are my inspiration. There aren't enough words to say how much they mean to me and how they have impacted my life. When Jared and I went up there last weekend, I was delighted to see an old scrapbook of when my "Pa" was in the Navy. I could never imagine what it would be like to be away from someone you love for that long, but my granparents pulled through. Seeing the letters and postcards he had written her while he was away made my day. Old letter and pictures are my favorites to look at; there is just something about taking a trip back in time where life was simpler. A love that lasts like theirs is so hard to come by these days, and I am so blessed to have an example of what real love looks like. And let's be honest, my grandfather was a handsome man; who doesn't like a man in uniform? No wonder my grandmother stuck by him all this time.

Such beautiful letters! I love looking through all my grandparents/great grandparents photos and things! X
Those letters are precious! What a wonderful treasure.
This is too neat. How sentimental.

The letters and photos are so heartwarming. My grandma spoke just like that - "got back in the sack." She also watched the "boob tube."
I LOVE this! What a beautiful story they have.
p.s. thanks for your sweet comment :) Good luck applying! You can totally do it.
That is so cute! I can only dream of my future children and grandchildren thinking my love story was cute!

Great post!! great pictures too and yes I love the internet but I wish we could go to a world where everything was simpler and we could all write letters to each other and wait eagerly for the letters to come in the mail.
That is adorable!!
Aww this is the sweetest!

Aw so sweet! I was half the world away from my husband (then boyfriend) for nearly two years. I take my hat off to the pioneers of long distance relationships like your grandparents. To stay so together with only wires and post cards. Its beautiful.
