Here she is readers, the Sarasota Farmer's market in all her glory, aka, my new found love. Every Saturday, in downtown Sarasota, little shops and vendors come out with their white tents and sell. They sell their little hearts out and the people come. A new person that would spend all of her Saturday morning at this get together is me. Now, I sort of knew back in my mind squeezed in a small space that we had a market, but I guess it just didn't register that it had all of my favorite things; downtown, unique items, and some pretty darn good coffee and donuts to name a few. So one (okay maybe two) Saturdays, Jared and I went. And suddenly, we became those people who ate, shopped, and strolled hand in hand down the streets and sidewalks of downtown Sarasota. The best part about it is, my man likes it. At this point, you should be closing your mouth. I actually had an idea that included shopping and walking around in the heat and he liked it? Don't be fooled my friends. They had a pretty enticing breakfast wrap that would keep him coming back for more. From the flowers to the fresh fruit, to the pre-made kabobs, everything looked delicious. I hope one day when I am old, wear straw hats, and am a regular at this gathering, I will come here and pick out all of my vegetables and fruit for the week in my reusable basket, listen to the violin man, and sip on some coffee. Sounds like perfection to me.
What will be your outing ritual when you are old and grey?
Oh and p.s.
I have some of the most kick butt readers and I love reading all your comments. I mean streaking and getting locked in a bathroom? You guys are totally nuts, and I love it. Keep up your crazy. It's entertaining to say the least.
