in the last 72 hours...

I rocked the middle part. Ah! Still can't believe it. And I don't think it looks half bad. I've been talking for months about how I wanted to grow my bangs out and part my hair in the middle. Needless to say my boyfriend just about gagged every time I did, probably because he doesn't like any of my ideas when it comes to fashion and hair. Little does he know all my ideas are good ones. Silly boy. You know what? He likes it. Just add it to the list I'd say.

Just look at this vintage coaster/tray set. Pure beauty I think. There is just something about so delicate about the lace underlay and pressed flowers and butterflies. I found this baby at the little thrift store I talked about here for $2 since the ENTIRE place was 50% off. Nothing better than thrift store and sale in the same sentence. Wouldn't they be just perfect for a future bar cart like THIS one from A Beautiful Mess? I WILL have one of these one day. Maybe it doesn't have to be stocked with liquor, but I'm on a look out for you, you industrial cart.

This chipotle burrito bowl was amazing. Is there anything more that can be said for all that cheese, chicken, rice, beans, and corn? I think not.

This would be part of my uniform these days. Can these grandma shoes count as vintage? No? Well I tried at  least. I also found a little sanctuary in my school where the sun shines bright, it's quiet, and there's a nice view. This will be where I will be if I feel like I need a few seconds to pull my hair out, okay?

Last but not least, these babies are on their way to me as we speak. There's a new buzz around the instagram world and that is setting up your shop and selling items through there. Genius! Geniuses you people are. I knew they were to be mine as soon as I saw them. I have been on the hunt for laceless oxfords and Steve Madden no less? I'm sold. To see other amazing items check out Brandi's shop @stylish_treasures and try this new way of insta shopping.

Happy hump day and I'm sure I'll see you around here for Friday Favorites!

friday favorites: orlando bound

You know that any weekend that starts with the sighting of the mickey ears is a good one. And a good one this was. If you follow me on instagram, you may (or should be how many pictures I posted) know about this past weekend. As a little weekend getaway, my family ventured to the two hour north location of Orlando, where the mickey ears reside. We calculated that we hadn't been there in about four years, which is a loonggg time for us Orlando lovers, and just seeing those mickey ears instantly reminded me of how many times we have made that trip, and how many more times I will look forward to seeing them in the future.

The weekend did not include a trip to the park; however, it did include a ton a good food, plenty of shopping (a first time in an Anthropologie for me!), the best hand cut souvenirs a girl could ask for, and some quality family time. There was honestly nothing more than I could ask for. Those two days just flew by like they never happened and boy was I exhausted after, but with my family, we always make the most out of any time we have.

I cannot believe it is already another Friday, one day past Valentines. While Jared and I are still in the midst of celebrating, as we are going on a date night tomorrow night, I am still feel like I am in a little cloud from the gift giving last night. Let's just say I can smell the rose petals, literally, as they adorn my little space. More to come about our Valentine's at a later date!

Here's to the weekend!

friday favorites: a great afternoon

This was a glorious day. A glorious day that I did not want to end as mentioned HERE. Those who responded gave me hope, and a reassurance that I am not crazy. So thanks for that, we all need it sometimes. Okay, back to this day. This particular day, Jared had the afternoon off. He NEVER has the afternoon off, or at least that's what it feels like. It's a miracle if we get to see each other during day light. So of course, the natural decision for what we were going to do first was Chick-fil-A for lunch.

Okay seriously, just look at him in those scrubs. I was giddy when I saw him in them and so were all the old ladies with their never ending googly eyes just about everywhere we went. That's okay ladies, stare away.

Since Jared told me that I could do whatever I wanted that day (best boyfriend ever), we of course went to Goodwill where I proceeded to find this beaut of a chair. $12.99 and just perfection. Not that I need another chair, but would you pass this up? I don't think so. Plus, my man bought it for me. I mean, can you think of a better day so far?

Around 5pm, we headed to the beach where I have not been in ages. Just a few things about these pictures. First, you should be jealous. Second, just LOOK that that sunset. Absolutely breath taking to say the least. Third, my feet are almost as white as the sand. It's a sad thing to live in this sunshine state and having nothing to say for it according to your skin tone. Should be a crime I think.

After watching the sunset, we strolled to the Circle where we shared some Italian fried cheese and pizza. Half cheese for me and half pepperoni for him. It is prime people watching time when you sit outside in beautiful weather. Probably one of our favorite things to do, especially when you get to sit beside the cutest golden doodle. Before we left I grabbed a couple of these macaroons to eat when we returned home. My fave? White chocolate coconut and gingerbread. I would excuse the drool from my mouth if you could see me right now.

If you know anything about me, you know I love spending time with my man, any time I can get. This afternoon was one for the books.

What was your favorite thing you did this week?
