friday favorites: gorgeous blogger spaces

>> A Beautiful Mess <<
>> Yesterday's Sweetheart <<
There is a never ending amount of inspiration circling around the blogging world. It's one of the reasons why I love it so much. It's an infinite pile of resources, ideas, and things you would have never thought up on your own. When it comes to bloggers and their homes, it is no different. Some of my favorite posts to read are the ones where they open up their homes and share the collection of items that makes their space unique. There's usually some pretty neat DIY's thrown in there too, and we all know I love those.

These ladies did not disappoint! The way they created their own space looks effortless, and I love the added pops of color, along with those white eames replica chairs, I swoon! I hope this cheered your friday up like it did mine. Lord knows we all need somethin' pretty to stare at and get lost in sometimes.

a recuperation

This weekend was a doozy, a great one, but still a doozy.  A quick trip to Tampa to see some friends was just what I needed to get away for a bit, and celebrating my grandparent's 83rd and 84th birthday was the icing on top. Not being home for a few days tires your body out. I am not quite sure what it is; maybe it is the unfamiliar territory, the sights, sounds, and scents that don't seem quite normal. Or maybe it is just the fact that it isn't home. You can make yourself feel comfortable wherever you are, but until you return home, you realize how much you miss it and how worn out you've mode your body. Home is a remedy in itself, people.

Also, the superbowl was yesterday. Let me just say that one, I am an only child, and two, that I am a girl. I have never and may never (unless my man has a say) be interested in the great American sport of football. Don't get me wrong, I can sit there and pretend I am interested and know what's going on, but unless I have something to distract me like food (mine happily consisted of left over boneless wings, chocolate covered strawberries, and puppy chow) or a baby, I lose interest after oh, 5 minutes. That's just how it goes.

I am off to stare at my Ikea purchases I made this weekend, and make sure you join me for tomorrow as I will be co-hosting a GFC blog hop with The Life of a Not So Ordinary Wife and I could not be more excited! It is THE best way to meet new blog friends, and we could all use some more of those!

*wardrobe tip: tights can be warmer than you think if you invest in better ones. The premium tights from target will keep you much warmer than the cheap ones. Layer with shorts or skirt and you're set!

on being home

Remember here when I told you about how worried I was to move back home? Honestly, I don't know why I was worried in the first place. It has been a smoother transition than I could have ever asked for. After a week of continual cleaning and organizing, my room is almost back to normal. Have you ever had to move or clean everything out for a garage sale? It's terrible how much JUNK one person can acquire without even noticing it. I cannot tell you how much stuff I haven't seen in years and how many trash bags I filled. You would have thought that I was a hoarder with a room like a Mary Poppins bag that fits everything into it. I honestly do not know how all that stuff got in there. Back to my point though. My relationship with Jared has blossomed more than ever. I feel excited to see him everyday, just like when we were first dating. I feel that spark again that seemed missing for some time; I never want to lose it again. Living in the same room as before, I feel as if it has changed along with the person living in it. I don't come back in the room and feel like I'm seventeen again. I feel like the more mature and responsible person I have grown in to, probably because you can see the floor more than once in a blue moon, and I have bought a grown up desk that I cannot wait to put to good use. My parents treat me like the adult I have longed to be treated like. Long story short, I had nothing to worry about. Which is usually the result in most cases. Someday, I will learn.

Oh, just to give a little shout out to one of my favorite bloggers, Erin, from Living In Yellow who is visiting the most special place in my heart, Sarasota. You all know how much I love Sarasota, right? (if you don't, where have you been?)
Erin, I hope my little town didn't let you down.
And next time you visit? Be sure to let me know. I can show you how us Sarasotians live. You'll get to see everything, Amish town and all.
