Last Sunday our morning started with an early morning bike ride on the Legacy Trail. A ten mile stretch of road from Sarasota to Venice that used to be railroad tracks. If I had a bucket list, this is something that would have been on it. Unfortunately, it would still be on it. Do you know how hot it is to ride ten miles in this Florida heat? I was lucky that my muscles still had the fond memories of riding a bike since I hadn't been on one in more than half my life. Bike riding could quickly become my therapy. It's peaceful and quite and getting some good quality time with my man was a plus. There were bunnies and snakes and turtles that accompanied us on our adventure, and I managed to survive almost being run over by two intense cyclists while taking a picture. I think it should be mandatory for bikes to have a bell. Would save a lot of lives from those sneaky riders if you ask me.
