friday favorites: succulent terrariums + prints for brielle

As spring time has arrived, so has my love for florals, ferns, botanicals, or whatever you want to call it. I recently showed you my black and white chalkboard table DIY HERE, and on it was a massive amount of succulents. I don't what what it is, but I just can't get over how cute they are and how many different varieties are out there. When showing my table to you here and on instagram, I received a few questions about how I planted these. Really there is no special way to do it, but I'll try my best to explain what I did and how I did it.

You can find the glass globes at Michael's, or similar ones are available on Amazon HERE. When choosing the right succulent, find the smallest possible, or the ones you can break apart if necessary (these are from Lowe's for $3). Since most succulents are grown by "rerooting," each one of the buds you see on the right terrarium could be separated. Take the succulent out of the pot and while saving the loose dirt for later, get the succulent down to the root with not much dirt. Place you succulents inside the terrarium carefully and position them where you think they look good. Now, take the extra dirt you saved and pack the sides and back of the terrarium as much as you can. Find a small stick or pencil to help you move the dirt around. Because let me tell you, these things are like fitting a ship in a bottle. There you have it! So easy and cheap. After they grow too big for the terrarium, I plan to try my hand at breaking the leaves apart and replanting them!

Also, I just wanted to share this amazing cause with you and the fun prints you can get out of it! Brielle needs your help in her fight for cancer. You can read all about it HERE and 100% of the proceeds are donated to her and her family.

These are my favorite prints featuring the talented Creature Comforts, Kelli Murray, The Painted Arrow, French Press Mornings, and Roxy Marj. Each print is only $5 and is sent in a link to you. You can print it out as many times as you'd like! Help me and many others support Brielle. If money cannot be donated, prayers are always welcome.

Have an awesome friday everyone!

geometric lovin'

sunglasses: Target J necklace: Target shirt: H&M skirt: Windsor bracelet: c/o  Go Fish shoes: Go Jane
You all need to know I love geometric prints. In ANYTHING. Shirts, skirts, shorts, shoes, jewelry, triangles, squares, rectangles, circles, okay now I sound like I am in geometry class. yuck. When the lovely Go Fish was willing to collaborate with me, I was delighted when I stumbled upon THIS bracelet. Can you guess why? It pairs perfectly with anything and is just gorgeous.

Also, I've seen the skirt I'm wearing floating around the blog-o-sphere lately, and I finally got a chance to show it off. Being the thrifter I am, I was too excited when it was on sale for $13.90! My rule: never pass up a good deal. However, that has gotten me in trouble on a couple of occasions.
Want other ways to style the great Windsor skirt I'm wearing? Check them out HERE and HERE

P.S. stick around in the next couple of days for a special surprise. It may or may not have triangles involved.

What's a good deal you've gotten on something lately?

wednesday giveaway!

On Monday, my girl Alexandra introduced herself here. And I know, we all fell in love then. But be still your hearts, she is back again today. Which is great, because I couldn't get enough. Aside from telling us dummies how to pose, she also takes some pretty amazing pictures which you can see and follow her adventures here.

Because she is so great, she has decided to host a little giveaway where you can win this amazing 8x10 print that would be perfect for any room of the house. Carnations are one of my favorites and the lighting is impeccable, and this coral color is perfect for spring. If I got my hands on this beauty, it would surely go above my desk.
